Indian Railways after long lockdown period of time has taken a decision to start 200 special trains for different routes from 1 June in the country.Before the starting of these trains Indian Railways told that the booking of the train tickets will be done online through the IRCTC portal.
But by changing the rules after this Indian Railways has taken decision to open the ticket counters from 22 May so that the people can now book train ticket from the counter itself.This decision of Indian Railways got to a result that the people are more doing cancellation of their tickets and there are less people who are doing the booking of their tickets.
Lets discuss about this issue in this post that why the Indian Railways took this decision to open the ticket counters from 22 May has two reasons.First reason is that the ticket booking from the online IRCTC portal has put too much load on the website so to make less load ticket counters were opened so that the ticket can also be booked from the counter.
Second reason was that there are many people who do know how to book train tickets from the online ticketing system so that they can also book tickets from the counter.But the results of this decision brought that the people are doing more cancellation of tickets than to book tickets for the trains.
This is due to the Lockdown situation in the country which started from 22 March to 30 June and during this period those people who have booked their tickets from the counter and their trains got cancelled.In this situation they reached the counters to take their refund from the Indian Railways.
Many Stations whose counters were open reached such a situation were people reached in large numbers to cancel their tickets and get their refund from the Indian Railways.Many Railways Counters got cashless were a long que of people took place for many hours.
And in Raipur Railway station situation occurred that the counter got cashless and after 3 hours cash was brought up by the other station were people waited to get their refund.So in this situation people are more cancelling their ticket rather than booking the tickets of the trains which has cause the counter to make less money than to give the refund to the people.That is why this situation has occurred but we hope that this situation will be relaxed afterwards.
