Indian Railways Have taken decision to cancell all the passenger trains from 15 April to 3 May as we all know about this news.The people who have booked ticket between this period wanted to know about the refund formalities and status for it.
Indian Railways have given many surprising data between this period,when all the people know that the railways have been cancelled till 14 April.So the people who have necessary work or stucked in the city due to lockdown were thinking that the railways will start from 15 April.Now the Indian Railways has provided data that between this lockdown the total number of 39 lakh people have booked the train tickets for 15 April.
Reason for this heavy booking of the people was that the IRCTC website portal was not closed during the lockdown period and also many people have done the ticket booking from the railway counter.This lead the people to do the booking online as well as offline.
Now as the Indian Railways have cancelled the trains between this period will refund the tickets money that is calculated to the total sum of 660 crores.And now the railways have decided that train bookings will not be done in advance till the Ministry of Railways and Indian Government provides any further information for the control of lockdown.
The refund of the train tickets will be given fully by the Indian Railways.If you have done the booking online through the IRCTC then you need not to cancel the ticket on the portal the railways well automatically cancel the ticket and will provide the refund in your account number from which the ticket has been booked.
If you have done the booking of the ticket through the railway counter then you just have to return the ticket and can take the refund.For this the railways have provided the time till 21st of july.Or Else you have done the booking from the railway counter woth the help of your debit or credit card or upi number then the amount of refund will be transferred to the specific debit or credit card and upi account.
Now the Indian Railways have told the people to not to panic for their refund amount this process can take some time but your refund will be fully given to you.This concludes that the indian railways will not its people panic and give all the money back to the people who have booked ticket for their journey.
