As we know in recent time Indian Railways has created a world record by taking double stack container in this everyone would be curious to know that what is actually inside these containers that are being carried by the Indian Railways.
So Today in this post we will discuss about the topic that what Indian Railways carries inside these containers.Trains carries Goods from one place to another are a great medium to transport goods from one place to any part of the country.
But these trains can only transport goods on earth not in the sky. Generally these trains carry coal,iron,iron ore,food , cement etc amd you all must have seen carrying all these goods by the trains of the Indian Railways.
All these Goods are transported only inside the country but some of the goods are there which are imported from outside the country like heavy machinery equipments,electrical equipments, agricultural products, Foreign Liquors,Dry Fruits, Foreign Fruits, Foreign Vegetables,Meat etc which are imported from another country.
So to Bring these products fresh inside the country many steps of safety are concerned like there is no water or dirt reaches inside the products and refrigeration facilities for aome of the products.For these types of products Container Wagons are designed which has an outer body made of Iron and when products are kept inside the containers covered with foam and wood to do isolation so that all the products inside the container remains safe and secured.
Things are kept in a systematic way inside the containers and loaded on the ships for transportation.So as to load things big cranes are used which can easily load and unload containers.From Foreign Countries these containers from ships reach Popular Indian Ports after which these containers are loaded onto the trains to reach their destination place in the country.Then those products reach to their respective owners with the help of Indian Railways.
Indian Railways Subsidiary companies which are CONCAR and CONRAJ that takes cares of these containers carried by the Indian Railways to their destination station and also take care of the operations inside the country.These companies has a total number of 15000 containers.
