Indian Railways most powerful Locomotive WAG 12 arrival in India created a state of panic all over regarding its features in the country but because of some technical issues in the locomotive it disappeared from one and a half year.All people wanted to know that why does the locomotive got disappeared and exactly what has happened to it.
Now the time to wait gets over because WAG 12 is now operational in a new conversion and named as WAG 12B.Trail of WAG 12B is started from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Station to Barwadih Station by joining the Goods coaches.
The Information was given online on twitter about this new converted Locomotive WAG 12B by our Former Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal.Lets discuss about the story of Our Locomotive which started from the collaboration of France Alstom company in the district of Madhepura Bihar where locomotives were constructed.
The Locomotive WAG 12 has a power of 12000 horsepower which can run upto the speed of 100 kilometres per hour by pulling 6000 ton weight of the goods.The use of this locomotive was to be done by the Indian Railways for the dedicated freight corridor but there was some technical issue in the bogie and heating issue inside the Locomotive after which it did not succeed in its trail.
Looking forward to this issue of Locomotive RDSO and Alstom Engineers has done many reasearch and modification in the Locomotive presented a new form of it named as WAG 12B.The trail of this Locomotive was done by joining a long goods train to it after which it became a success.
After the approval of CRS this Locomotive will be running on the routes.This Locomotive is named as WAG 12B were W means wide gauge,A means Alternating current traction,G means Goods Locomotive,12 os the serial number and B means modified bogie.
Means that the Locomotives has been brought in a new Avtar by doing modification in its Bogie.WAG 12B is a twin section Locomotive which bring a new change in the era of Locomotives used In Indian Railways.
This Locomotives will be helpful in many operations of the Indian Railways which will help to easily carry the goods and passengers to any part of the country.
