Runaway Goods Train Travels 84 Kilometers Without a Driver

In an unprecedented event, a goods train stationed at Kathua Station in Jammu and Kashmir embarked on an unexpected journey. The train, loaded with concrete, began moving downhill due to the slope, covering a staggering 84 kilometers without a driver at the helm. The driver and co-driver had allegedly left the engine running while they paused for tea at the station. Unfortunately, they failed to engage the handbrake before stepping away. Fortunately, no other trains were on the same track, preventing a major catastrophe. The Railways has initiated an investigation into this peculiar incident¹².
